The Pentland Inspirations Art and Photographic Competition 2016 has now closed. We received 103 photographs and 2 paintings. Judging took place on Tuesday 4th October and the winners ceremony will take place in November.

COMPETITION RULES

Art: Paintings can be framed or unframed but must be mounted on stiff card. Maximum canvas size 56cm x 41cm (22″ x 16″).You can submit one painting.

Photographs: There are three categories you can enter: landscape, biodiversity (plants and animals), or activity. You can submit up to three photographs which are to be sent electronically via email or sent on a CD (no DVDs please). Photographs should always be taken at the largest size available on your camera and jpeg quality should be set to best or fine. Emails should not exceed 3MB in size, please send each photograph separately if needed along with entry form. (Entry forms will be available from end of July via the website to download or to pick up from the visitor centres in the Regional Park.

Every entrant will receive a voucher entitling them to a 15% discount on frames from Mount Parnassus Picture Framing, Mid Kinleith, Currie. Prizes will be given to the winners at a ceremony to be held in November.

The entries will form an inspiring exhibition which will be on tour from December 2016 to May 2017 at various venues across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
