Forestry Extraction near West Kip

Published: Friday, 05 October 2018

UPDATE Red Road

The Regional Park has been receiving complaints about damage to paths and open hillside in the vicinity of West Kip, caused by forestry extraction machinery. We are monitoring the situation, and liaising with the landowner, contractors and Forestry Commission Scotland. We have been reassured that any damage caused will be repaired. Reinstatement work is currently finishing up.

PLEASE NOTE THE RED ROAD IS CURRENTLY UNUSABLE AS A PATH. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WALK, CYCLE OR RIDE A HORSE ALONG THIS ROUTE. The mud is dangerously deep in places.

Please let us know if you have any specific concerns about the area, and check our website for updates.
