Harperrig Reservoir

Harperrig Reservoir is to the far west of the Regional Park, lying alongside the A70 west of Balerno at the foot of the Cauldstane Slap. The fishing rights are shared between bank owners, collectively known as Harperrig Fisheries Ltd.

The reservoir is stocked with Brown Trout up to 2.5lbs in weight to supplement the wild population. Boat and bank fly fishing are both available, with boat hire available on site. The season starts on 15th March, and ends on 6th October.
