Wildfire risk
Risk: "EXTREME"
We have now entered into a period of EXTREME risk of wildfire in the Pentland Hills Regional Park.
The Regional Park asks that no campfires or other fires be lit. This also applies to barbecues. Take care with disposal of cigarette ends.
NO FIRES
NO BARBECUES
DISPOSE OF CIGARETTES CAREFULLY
PICK UP ANY DISCARDED GLASS OR TELL THE RANGERS
Please listen to advice offered by Regional Park Rangers. The Park is working with Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to ensure that messaging is spread as widely as possible.
If you find an unattended fire call 999 and ask for FIRE, then let the Regional Park know on 07798 505301.
